JIC Institute of Investment Research hosted a research workshop focusing on “population ageing and the ‘silver-hair’ industry in China” on June 24, 2016 in Beijing. Industry experts and JIC member companies were invited to look into the implications, trends and innovations in China’s ‘silver-hair’ industry.

During the workshop, Zhang Chewei, president of CASS Institute of Population and Labor Economics, discussed the relationship between population ageing, economic restructuring, and the ‘silver-hair’ industry. Guo Yuqun, general manager of Investune Shanghai, identified the trends and innovations in the industry. Yi Shance, deputy general manager of JIC Active Aging Service, described the business model for bolstering active aging services.

More than 50 participants from JIC and the community were present at the workshop.
