Founded in 1955, China National Research Institute of Food & Fermentation Industries is the largest and oldest research powerhouse involved with China’s food industry. With the institute’s R&D capabilities in functional food, JIC Capital will actively expand its investments into the field of “big health”.

A signing ceremony was held August 10, 2015 in Boao, Hainan by JIC Capital and China National Research Institute of Food & Fermentation Industries. This ceremony was designed to kick off an equity fund on “big health” functional food, in a bid to leverage the shift to food safety and nutrition improvement that is currently taking place in the food industry, and invest in new products, technologies and business models in relation to nutritious, healthy and functional foods through the establishment of the fund.
