The 2016 China Media Investment Report & Book Launch was organized by the Media Magazine and hosted by JIC Media in Guangzhou on August 19, 2016 during the 11th China Media Conference. With a focus on “the role of capital in media innovation,” the forum discussed how to identify the underlying trends in the culture and media sector, allow capital to play an active role in promoting the penetration and strategic synergy between media and other sectors, and create a market-driven collaboration between traditional and new media. The event attracted industry experts and participants from the Central University of Finance and Economics, China Cultural Industry Investment Fund, VChello Capital, China National School of Administration, as well as Nanfang Media Group.
During the forum, the 2016 China Media Investment Report was released, tracking the hot issues of the year, such as the new forms of media investment, offshore media investment activities, mobile internet, VR investment etc., and looking into the capital-driven changes in the media sector based on an insightful analysis of the status quo and future trends in media investment. JIC Media has released this report two years in a row in a bid to bring together academics, media members and investors get ahead of the trends, and become part of the culture and media boom.
