On December 25, 2018, JIC Technology Investment Co.,Ltd (JIC TECH-INV) completed a D round investment in Guangzhou-based Smarter Micro, an important move in its strategy  in the field of 5G semiconductors.

Smarter Micro is a leading company in China in the implementation of reconfigurable RF front-end technology. The RF front-end chips have been mass-produced and sold to many smartphone manufacturers in China. Smarter Micro’s innovative reconfigurable technology can further reduce the cost, size and power consumption of RF front-end chips while producing the same performance, thus adapting to the future evolution direction of 5G, IOT and other technologies. At present, only a few chip makers have mastered the technology and completed the mass production of such products, including Smarter Micro, Qualcomm and others.
